Google does a spring clean, axing about projects ahead of the public launch of Google Plus

TECHNOLOGY giant Google has Announced it Will be shutting down 10 of its products ahead of the public launch of its social networking site.


 On the chopping block is a social search service Aardvark the which the company Bought for $ 50 million last year.

The discontinued products also include Fast Flip, Google Maps API for Flash, Notebook, Desktop, Google Pack, Google Web Security, Image Labeler, Sidewiki and Subscribed Links.

Senior vice-president Alan Surgeay posted on Google's official blog That the cuts were the resource persons about using resources effectively.

"This Will Make Things Simpler much for our users, Improving the overall Google experience," Mr. Surgeay said. "It also will of the mean We can devote more resources to high-impact products.

"As for our users, we'll Communicate directly with Them As We Make these changes, giving sufficient time to the make the transition and enabling Them to take Their data with Them."

Many Google employees are expected to move over to the world's fastest growing social network, Google +.

It is not known Pls Will the site go public but many are predicting it will from launch early next year.

The cuts follow the closure of the company's experimental Google Labs testing centers in July last year.

Google Announced last week but the launch of Google's Offline the which allows users to access Their Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Docs on Their PCs without the need for an internet connection.

Anyone with a browser Chrome Will be Able to access Google's Offline on Their Computer.
