Spender! Salaries of Civil Servants Spend Rp 215.7 Trillion

Jakarta - The government would have poured a state employee salary budget of Rp 215.7 trillion in 2012. This number rose to Rp 32.9 trillion (18%) than this year. The government was criticized for too extravagant!

Executive Director of the Institute for Development of Economic and Finance (INDEF) Sri Hartati Enny said the budget increase staff salaries in 2012 state budget is not effective because until now the quality of public services remains poor.

"Almost all the independent agencies say the number of civil servants (Civil Service) is already too big. The government did not relocate an employee if there is the addition of new institutions. MoF has a policy of a moratorium on civil servants, but instead there is an increase in the budget the budget for civil servants. So it's not consistent, "Enny said in a press conference at Wisma Kodel, Kuningan, Jakarta, Thursday (18/08/2011).

Enny assess the reform of the bureaucracy that had been run by a Ministry / Agency does not significantly alter the quality of public services. "The government he wanted to reform the bureaucracy, but who felt the government's public service has been no significant increase," he added.

Therefore, assessing the state budget 2012 Enny inefficient despite the budget provided increased considerably higher than this year.

"It is like we have money, so the problem is inefficient spending," Enny response.

Budget cuts in fuel subsidies in 2012 to Rp 168.6 trillion from Rp 195.3 trillion, is also risky because there is no effort or the government's strategy to reduce dependence on fuel.
