Foreign countries are still deceiving Nation Indonesia

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chairman of the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) Sofyan Wanandi said that Indonesia still basically tricked though foreigners have been independent for 66 years, especially in the economic field.

Through a variety of ways and forms, Sofyan said here on Wednesday, foreigners continue to defend its interests in this country.

"Indonesia's independence has been 66 years but is still a foreign occupation, it was a sign we are still ignorant. Of course the duty of our government to solve it," he said.

He pointed out, the signing of the treaty in Oslo, Norway, last year, which requires Indonesia to reduce carbon emissions

with the lure of a grant of U.S. $ 1 billion if successful.

As a result, he said, the year the Oslo agreement, there is practically no any advantage obtained by Indonesia. Vacant land can not be utilized, when in fact it could absorb millions of workers.

In contrast, Norway and other developed countries to arbitrarily produce carbon emissions in large numbers through their industry.

To meet the demand for electricity, for example, Norway using coal power by nine percent, while Indonesia is only one percent. In fact, coal power plants is one of the biggest carbon emitters.

"Oslo Agreement had been troubled from the start. Norway's own carbon emissions it produces a much larger than Indonesia," he said.

Economists also argue matching Drajad Wibowo. According Drajad, the Oslo agreement that was signed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and subsequently issued a moratorium on forest, is an effort developed countries to continue to deceive Indonesia.

"The agreement will only benefit Oslo Norway and other European countries," he said.

According to him, if you want to be fair, it should be the first developed countries to reduce emissions, rather than developing countries like Indonesia.

He said Indonesia's independence 66 years is a momentum that should not be wasted government. Moreover, foreign interests in Indonesia within the next 50 years will become apparent.

"Oil palm and rubber Indonesia is a mainstay in the world. If the current land empowerment can be multiplied, the opportunity to master the world oil market and the rubber in the future is open for Indonesia," he said.
